She Pondered

The holy spirit quickened a verse to me tonight.. i thought “luke 2:19” and looked it up. Of course everytime i receive a word like this i recall something a former friend once told me, that God won’t bless his word if I read it that way… so, i think “well I’ll just read what it says” and sure enough.. i was blessed by it.. that friend meant well, he told me what he felt was correct per his understanding in the moment, and i get what he meant… yet.. it also serves as a discouraging thought that i have everytime i experience such a thing….. discoruagement… comes in all shapes amd sizes and forms.. some have a larger impact than others. Anyways, what I got is very important…

Luke 2:19

19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.

This verse is in response to the previous verses in which the Angel of the Lord came and told her that she was going to give birth to a baby as a virgin….. she responded with “yes Lord”, not doubting, and then she pondered such things. She thought about his promises. She dwelled on the glory and the truth of it. She ate it, chewed on it… this is an example of thinking on things above. Instead of thinking thoughts of lust and bitterness… think on what God told you whether personally, by his word, through an Angel.. faith, understanding, anything good you have received think on these things.. they are sweeter than lust. They are powerful in that they lead us to true praise of God and understanding. Amen.

Through life's challenges I have learned that Jesus really is the only one who can truly satisfy. Through his grace I have already achieved so much, and wish to include you all in my journey as I continue to press on towards the mark to which I was called. I hope that you can identify and share in my successes and even my failures. It is also my hope that you will see what a day in the life of a spirit filled believer looks like up close and personal. May you be blessed as I am blessed, and may you share in my anointed grace. God bless you as you read.
